Airventure 2014 - Oshkosh, Wisconsin - Part 1

Over the next few days we'll be featuring photos supplied by Rosco from last month's Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Airventure 2014 event held at the end of July each year at the expansive Wittman Regional Airport, Oshkosh, Wisconsin.  The event is a true mecca for aviation followers from all walks of life and people from across the world make the annual pilgrimage to this massive event where it common to have in excess of 10000 aircraft visiting!  As we will see from the photos the cross section of aircraft is incredible from the likes of the Fedex Airbus A300 freighter through to the weird and wonderful creations in the homebuilt market along with an array of warbirds en mass.

So, without further ado here is the first set of photos.

The "Big" Ford Tri-motor was kept busy throughout the week conducting scenic flights, looks like a MUST DO!

The busiest control tower in the world for the week - streamed live on the LiveATC website and what a great listen for those so inclined!  North tower, South tower and Fisk Control plus all the ground controllers who marshall aircraft by flag signals.  Really amazing stuff.
