King Lear
Well, the title is a little misleading, sorry! But it was the day of the Learjet with three visitors to Auckland. First was the 45 model, VH-CXJ, and this had arrived yesterday from the Gold Coast and Brisbane. It overnighted and departed this morning for the Gold Coast.
Second was 36A VH-CMS, arriving from the Gold Coast via Port Vila during the early hours. The crew took rest before later departing back home to the Gold Coast.
Third was another 36A, this time VH-JCX arriving during the evening from Essendon. All three were associated with medical needs in one way or another.
The E-Jet VH-ZPM had a miraculous recovery at Hamilton and embarked on a journey direct to Invercargill before settling at Christchurch for the night.
Air Nelson's 22nd Bombardier Q300 ZK-NFB arrived at Auckland just before 1400 from Pago Pago nearing the end of its delivery flight. Still using its Canadian registration of C-FVUF, it departed after clearing formalities for Nelson. The routing of this ferry flight differed from previous ones, departing North Bay (where tanking was carried out) for Grand Rapids and Santa Barbara, then to Maui and onto Pago Pago. There is one more Q300 to be delivered with this aircraft set to arrive next month and become ZK-NFI.
