New Zealand's 12th business jet was delivered to Auckland this afternoon with the arrival of Cessna 560 Citation V Ultra N3937E touching down at 1400.
The Ultra started its day at Maroochydore where it has been since 17Nov last year. This is a Pratt and Whitney JT15D powered aircraft that was originally N50938 before becoming N396QS in December 1996. Initially flown by Netjets and later with Winter Park Aviation before returning to Cessna and becoming N596VP in September 2008. It arrived into Australia on a demonstration tour routine on 02 September 2009 and ended up on the market and being leased/purchased by Airwork. It was registered ZK-AWK/2 in December however on 08 January 2010 it was cancelled and became N3937E for regulatory purposes so that avionics work could be carried out. As previously mentioned, it flew from Maroochydore to Brisbane and Auckland 28Jan.

Ardmore 27 January 2010

Cessna 172S N510LP has been a NZ resident for a few years now but I've not sighted it for a while. Today it was back outside at Ardmore.

An interesting sound from behind the hangers dragged my camera out to capture DH89 Rapide G-ADDD undergoing engine runs. The aircraft has been under rebuild at Ardmore for sometime now, anyone have more on this one to share please.

Heliharvest currently have two Mil 8's on their books, ER-MHZ located at Taupo and recently returned to NZ ER-MHH. This machine left Tauranga for Turkey in May 2009 by sea and was on contract for fire fighting duties from July until October. it was then shipped back to Auckland arriving at the end of the year and features the name "Bubblz" adopted for Australian operations in early 2009. It also has a small Turkish flag under the cockpit window along with the Moldovian flag on the tail. It has some work to do locally before heading back to Turkey for further fire fighting duties.
