Thursday 28 January 2010
New Zealand's 12th business jet was delivered to Auckland this afternoon with the arrival of Cessna 560 Citation V Ultra N3937E touching down at 1400.
The Ultra started its day at Maroochydore where it has been since 17Nov last year. This is a Pratt and Whitney JT15D powered aircraft that was originally N50938 before becoming N396QS in December 1996. Initially flown by Netjets and later with Winter Park Aviation before returning to Cessna and becoming N596VP in September 2008. It arrived into Australia on a demonstration tour routine on 02 September 2009 and ended up on the market and being leased/purchased by Airwork. It was registered ZK-AWK/2 in December however on 08 January 2010 it was cancelled and became N3937E for regulatory purposes so that avionics work could be carried out. As previously mentioned, it flew from Maroochydore to Brisbane and Auckland 28Jan.
