Air National's Westwind ZK-RML flew from Auckland to Port Vila and return.

Avwest's Challenger 604 VH-ZZH departed Queenstown late afternoon for a 5hr 40min flight to its Perth base.

Liberty Press Citation 500 N800DT flew from Wanaka to Ardmore.

Piper Malibu N9099Z departed Pauanui for Rangiora while Piper Malibu ZK-MBU also departed Pauanui and headed for its Malibu Park home, near Nelson.

Qantas positioned Boeing 747-300 VH-EBY into Auckland from Perth as QFA6018 following the cancellation of their QF25 Melbourne-Auckland service. The aircraft then flew as QFA25 to Los Angeles, departing in the early hours of the following morning.

Gippsland GA200 Fatman ZK-ESL departed Kerikeri for Norfolk Island on export to Australia at the hands of veteran ferry pilot Jim Hazelton. The aircraft had flown from Dunedin to Hamilton direct the previous day and on 25Jun departed Norfolk Island for Lord Howe Island and Kempsey.

King Air 300 F-GICA, now sporting winglets, arrived at Auckland early this evening from its Noumea/Magenta base.

Air Chathams/Chathams Pacific Metroliner III ZK-CIC arrived at Auckland early this morning from Tonga. After clearing formalities, the Metro continued to Hastings.

Air National Westwind ZK-RML made another Auckland-Port Vila-Auckland flight today.

Air NZ Boeing 747-400 ZK-SUJ, operating as ANZ39 from Auckland to Hong Kong, made a brief visit at Manila following an enroute diversion due to Hong Kong weather.

Rank's Global Express XRS N57LE returned to Auckland from Sydney this afternoon.

Jim Nisbett departed Auckland this morning in Mooney G-CERT for Tonga with future stops at Pago Pago, Christmas Island and Honolulu on his return journey to Prestwick.

Falcon 900C VH-LAL departed Auckland for Essendon, however shortly after takeoff the aircraft returned to Auckland. It departed several hours later, again for Essendon.

Air National Westwind ZK-RML flew an Auckland-Tonga-Auckland medivac flight.

King Air 300 F-GICA departed Auckland for Magenta however diverted enroute to Norfolk Island due enroute weather. It later continued to Magenta.

Crown Casino's Gulfstream 5 VH-CCC made its first known visit to Auckland early this afternoon, arriving from and returning to its Melbourne base. This registration was previously worn by a Gulfstream 4 which has since been re-registered VH-CGF and is still operated by Crown.

Around the World traveller Mooney G-CERT arrived at Palmerston North from Lord Howe Island late this afternoon. It had flown from the Gold Coast to Lord Howe the previous day. Check out http://www.jimsbigadventure.co.uk/

Another single engine arrival late today in the form of 1969 Piper PA24-160 Commanche N9335P (24-4833) which touched down at Auckland from Apia. It had flown from Hollister Municipal to Hilo 15Jun, to Christmas Island 16Jun and Apia 17Jun (NZ dates). It late continued to Taupo where it will now reside.

Citation Mustang N2243W flew from Hastings to Auckland and back today.

Two RAAF King Air's arrived at Whenupai from Norfolk Island today, A32-348 and A32-372.

Business Jets Falcon 900EXE N146EX departed from Auckland for Honolulu.

Royal Australian Air Force Challenger 604 A37-002 departed Wellington for Melbourne as "Ausy 353".

The two RNZAF King Air's , NZ1881 and NZ1885, which departed earlier in the week for Australia returned to Whenuapai from Port Vila and after clearing formalities continued to Ohakea.

Cessna 182 ZK-WSJ was noted at Broome, Western Australia today. It was subsequently discovered that the aircraft had arrived at Toowoomba from Lord Howe Island on 28May.

Pacific Blue introduced their 7th Boeing 737-800 to service with ZK-PBI ferrying into Christchurch from Melbourne as PBN9070 and flying its first revenue service a couple of hours later as PBN3205 to Wellington. The aircraft is ex Virgin Blue's main fleet where it flew as VH-VUH and has subsequently been renamed "Lady Rebecca" following a naming competition/auction.

Piper Saratoga N515SC, which had spent a good portion of the NZ summer sitting at North Shore and latterly at Pago Pago finally departed there for Christmas Island today on its return journey to Oxford, UK where it is expected to arrive around 24Jun. It continued to Honolulu 16Jun and to Santa Monica 18Jun (NZ dates).

Christchurch airport was closed with fog late Sunday seeing 4 international flights to be diverted, namely Jetstar Airbus A320 VH-VQS operating as JST171 from Melbourne headed to Wellington, Pacific Blue Boeing 737-800 ZK-PBA as PBN74 from Sydney diverted to Auckland as did ZK-PBB which was operating as PBN82 from Brisbane and Air NZ Airbus A320 ZK-OJF as ANZ794 from Melbourne.

Japan Airlines operated Boeing 747-400 freighter (converted) JA8911 through Christchurch today with the aircraft arriving mid afternoon from Nagoya as JAL6967. It departed late evening for Narita.

Citation 650 VH-DHN departed Queenstown for its Gold Coast home today.

It was Wellington's turn for fog which plagued the airport for much of the morning. The only notable diversion domestically was that of QFA2703 from Auckland which diverted to Palmerston North with Boeing 737-400 ZK-JTQ, the first known visit of a QF -400 to Palmerston North.

The fog returned late that night and several flights diverted, namely to Auckland, which saw 10 international arrivals (including scheduled operations) in less than 45 minutes!

Pionair's Convair 580 VH-PDW departed Palmerston North late today for Norfolk Island following a maintenance visit with Fieldair. It was noted flying from Melbourne to Sydney during the early of the following morning.

Citation Mustang N2243W visited Dunedin today, arriving from and returning to Hastings. It later continued to and overnighted at Auckland.

Rank Group Global Express XRS N57LE arrived at Auckland early this morning from Teterboro via a techstop at Honolulu. The aircraft has been out of the country for a couple of weeks and in that time has visited Zurich and London/Luton.

Southern Snow

Much of the South Island's East Coast was blanketed by snow on Saturday 07June with Timaru and Christchurch airport's closed for a period as the white stuff accumulated.

These shots, supplied by Glen Reid, were taken on Sunday 08June. The Air NZ 777 is ZK-OKG operating as NZ90 from Narita to Christchurch and Auckland.

RAAF C130 Hercules A97-001 departed Woodbourne for a North Island navigational exercise.
