The Chinese VP departed NZ today with the Boeing 737-800 B-5342 flying Wellington to Auckland then onto Sydney while the Boeing 747-400 B-2447 flew from Auckland to Melbourne.

Falcon 7X VP-BZE flew from Auckland to Norfolk Island where it then spent a few hours before heading off to Sydney.

Pacific Aerospace 750XL ZK-JGI, following a rebuild with the manufacturer after a landing accident in Europe during 2009, departed Hamilton for Coolangatta and all stops to Sweden.

Challenger 300 N234DP departed Rotorua before sunrise for Pago Pago and Honolulu.

Chathams Pacific Beech 65-80 A3-CIA left Auckland for Norfolk Island and Nadi. It arrived at Tonga Monday 21st.

Pacific Aerospace 750XL P2-SDE left Ardmore for Kerikeri, Norfolk and Lord Howe Islands today on its delivery flight to PNG.

NZ's first Piper PA46 Meridian (turbine version of the Malibu) touched down at Auckland on delivery this evening when N598C arrived from Pago Pago and Tonga.

Queensland Govt Hawker 850XP VH-SGY spent a few hours on the ground at Dunedin during the early hours of today, arriving from and returning to Brisbane. It shared the ramp with Citationjet CJ3+ ZK-TBM, both aircraft involved in organ retrieval roles.

Flying Lion's Falcon 7X VP-BZE made a rocket like departure from Auckland and headed to Wellington for a few hours before returning back to Auckland.


The Chinese Vice-President and entourage departed Auckland on board their Air China Boeing 737-800 B-5342 and headed to Wellington as CCA022A.


Pacific Aerospace 750XL P2-SDE made an appearance at Ardmore during the afternoon and is expected to embark on its delivery flight tomorrow.

Starting the activity for today was the arrival at Auckland of Flying Lion's Falcon 7X VP-BZE from South America and Easter Island. This aircraft is operated by Lord Ashcroft http://www.lordashcroft.com/

Air China Boeing 737-800 B-5342 arrived at Auckland just after 0700 from Guangzhou, China via a techstop at Darwin as CCA022A. This aircraft last visited NZ in November 2009.

Air China Boeing 747-400 B-2447 touched down at Auckland just as the fog lifted at 0910 from Laos capital Vientiane as CCA022. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wattay_International_Airport
The aircraft is carrying Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping who will travel to Wellington on board the 737-800.

As previously blogged, Boeing BBJ VP-BEL diverted to Wellington from Christchurch early today due to fog. After a refuel the jet continued to Christchurch for a maintenance visit.

NZ Aerial Mapping's Cessna 402 ZK-PVC departed Hastings for Kerikeri and Norfolk Island and the next day continued to Noumea and Nadi.

Careflight Learjet 36 VH-CMS made a rare visit to a NZ regional spot arriving at Gisborne from Coolangatta via Port Vila and Auckland. It later continued back to Auckland where it overnighted.

Global 5000 N939ML arrived at Auckland from Melbourne.

Gulfstream 550 ZK-KFB flew Rotorua-Wellington-Melbourne/Essendon.

Learjet 36 VH-CMS flew back to Coolangatta from Auckland while Global 5000 N939ML departed Auckland for Suva and later the same evening to Honiara.

Pilatus PC12 VH-OOI spent a few hours at Kerikeri today, arriving from and returning to Norfolk Island where it seems to be spending a fair amount of its time. It departed Norfolk 11Jun for Lord Howe Island and then onto Adelaide where it overnighted and then onwards to Murray Field in Western Australia.

Our Airline Boeing 737-300 VH-NLK made its first visit to Auckland in the operator's livery today when it flew on behalf of Air Vanuatu from/to Port Vila in lieu of 737-800 YJ-AV1 which had been unservicable at Brisbane. VH-NLK had made one previous visit to NZ on its delivery flight Chile to Australia when it stopped off at Auckland on 15Nov08 enroute from Papeete to Melbourne. EC Menzies Citationjet CJ3+ N91GT made its first visit to New Zealand today arriving at Auckland from its Melbourne/Essendon base. The CJ3 arrived at Essendon 13Dec09 from Noumea concluding its Trans-Pacific ferry flight via Midway, Majuro and Port Vila and joins Merlin N90GT which has been a visitor to NZ over many years. EC Menzies history in NZ stretches back to 1989 when the company established an air charter operation out of Auckland using a mixed fleet of aircraft. It was rebranded in 1992 as Air National which continues today as a charter operation in conjunction with ground handler SkyCare.

Gulfstream 4 VH-DBT flew from Auckland to Wellington and onto Sydney 11May.


Citation VII VH-DHN made a brief visit to Wellington 20May, arriving from Tonga and departing to Auckland, Brisbane and Coolangatta.

Gulfstream 550 N1759C arrived at Wellington 24May from Auckland and returned to Auckland two days later.

Fleeting Visitor........

SE Asian based Boeing 737 BBJ VP-BEL made an early morning arrival into Wellington 03Jun having earlier departed Singapore for Christchurch however diverted due to fog conditions at its destination. The BBJ was re-fuelled and subsequently departed 90 minutes later for Christchurch where it is understood to be staying for the next two months on a maintenance visit. This aircraft visited NZ back in May-June 2007 for the same reason and again in January 2009. It visited Melbourne late last month for a couple of days.

Hawaiian Airlines Boeing 767-300 N584HA departed Auckland this afternoon for Honolulu at the conclusion of its maintenance visit.

Saudi Boeing 737 BBJ HZ-MF2 departed Auckland this evening for Honolulu.

Business Jets Falcon 900EX N146EX also departed Auckland for Honolulu today.

Global Express VH-LAW arrived at Auckland from Sydney.

RAAF (Dingo Airways) King Air 350's A32-437 and A32-651 departed Whenuapai for Norfolk Island and Brisbane on return to their Townsville base where they have replaced the DH4 Caribou. The latest Australian Aviation has a good article on the squadron.

Arriving at Ardmore mid afternoon was 1966 vintage Piper PA30 Twin Comanche N2V from Tonga and Auckland. This 'elderly' aeroplane was first noted in the Pacific flying from Santa Maria to Hilo on 21May, then to Christmas Island 25May where it say for a few days before flying south to Pago Pago 28May. (All dates NZ local).

Sir Peter Jackson's brand spanking new Gulfstream V-SP (550) ZK-KFB/2 touched down at Auckland just on 1520 today, 01Jun, concluding its delivery flight to NZ. Arriving direct from Honolulu, the V-SP had crossed from Savannah, Georgia the previous day.
Unlike the first ZK-KFB which was operated by Auckland's Air National, this machine is being operated by Sydney based Execujet and it is understood the jet will initially be housed in a hanger at Melbourne/Essendon. Execujet manage some 70 aircraft globally.
