During
MRC Aviation's time off air the New Zealand national carrier has been busy with aircraft exiting the fleet, new addition(s) and the first Link aircraft rolled out in the latest livery.
First came Eagle Air's Beech 1900D
ZK-EAL with this aircraft conduction a test flight from/to Hamilton on 21 June and then being registered
ZS-EAA on 27 June. It departed Hamilton for Norfolk Island under its South African markings 04 July and and the following day flew to Brisbane, Mount Isa, Darwin and Bali.

Air New Zealand Airbus A320
ZK-OJC became the first regional configured machine to receive the airline's new livery and it re-entered service 22 June as ANZ801 from Christchurch to Brisbane.
A second Airbus A320 re-entered service following application of the new livery, this time it was on domestic configured
ZK-OJS operating as ANZ358 from Christchurch to Wellington on 25 June. This aircraft had earlier worn just the black tail scheme.

ZK-OXA, delivered in the black tail only scheme, has since received the latest rendition of the fern livery and it re-entered service 02 July as ANZ504 from Christchurch to Auckland.
The first Link aircraft to receive the full black fern livery was rolled out at Christchurch 06 July when Air Nelson's Q300
ZK-NEQ broke the covers of the paintshop. It re-entered service the following day as RLK702 from Christchurch to Palmerston North.

The biggest news for the airline was the delivery of Boeing 787-9
ZK-NZE to Auckland on the afternoon of 11 July direct from Paine Field as ANZ6789. Air NZ is the launch customer for the -9 variant and it is expected to carry out some training/proving flight exercises over the coming days following ground based training activities since its delivery.

Air New Zealand retired Boeing 737-3U3
ZK-NGD from service 13 July when the jet arrived at Christchurch from Wellington as ANZ357. The aircraft was delivered to the airline in 1999 and arrived at Christchurch 06 November that year from Honolulu and Apia as ANZ6733 in company with ZK-NGE.
The aircraft was built on order for Garuda where it was to have become PK-GGH but it was not delivered and it went onto become N930WA with Winair in late 1998. It became ZK-NGD in March 1999 and flew from Salt Lake City for Gander as ANZ6733 on 21 March. It then flew to Shannon the next day and arrived at Warsaw 23 March where it then entered service with LOT.

Also bowing out of service was Boeing 747-475
ZK-SUH "Dunedin". Its last commercial flight for the airline touched down as ANZ7 from San Francisco on the morning of 16 July. This aircraft was built on order for Canadian Airlines as C-FBCA but was not delivered and it went onto become PP-VPI with Varig in May 1991. It was returned to its lessor, ILFC, as N891LF in August 1994 and delivered to Air NZ as ZK-SUH in November 1994.

Air New Zealand's Airbus A320 fleet grew to 23 aircraft on the night of 25 July when their tenth domestic configured sharklet sporting ZK-OXF arrived at Auckland. As ANZ6399, ZK-OXF had made the trip from Toulouse via Muscat, Singapore and Cairns and touched down at Auckland at 2344 local time. It is anticipated the 171 seat jet will enter service by months end.
