As mentioned below, Eurofox G-GBNZ successfully reached New Zealand on the evening of 05 December 2018 touching down to a blustery Auckland day a little before 1800 after a journey from Lord Howe Island.
The aircraft and team of two made the flight from Auckland to Whenuapai the following day and were greeted upon arrival by a water arch salute in honour of their achievement.

After a month in Australia, much of spent at Pearce in Western Australia, the GB-NZ team are on their way across the Tasman Sea and as this post went to air they had launched out of Lord Howe Island on a 9+ hour direct flight to Auckland. On 04 December the Eurofox G-GBNZ made the flight from Caloundra to Lord Howe Island.

G-GBNZ safely arrived in Australia 03 November 2018 touching down at Learmonth/WA after a 8HR 30MIN flight from Christmas Island. It continued to Jandakot, south of Perth, on the 4th.

Just spotted on a tracker is a flight currently underway, actually almost completed, by G-GBNZ. It is shortly (31 October 2018) arriving in Christmas Island from Singapore/Seletar.

Thanks to Richard Currie for drawing our attention to this upcoming event and associated "earth rounder" - well at least half way around the world - flight to be conducted in May 2018 by a 100hp Eurofox 2 seat light sports aircraft.
2018 marks the 100th anniversary of the formation of the RAF from the Royal Flying Corps and the Royal Naval Air Service, to create the first independent air force in the world. At its peak, the RAF was truly a global force, resulting in a rich historical legacy over a wide geographical area. The RAF 100 Great Britain to New Zealand expedition aims to visit a large number of significant former RAF locations on a 13,000 mile route following the path paved by the aeronautical trail blazers of the 1920s and 30s.
