Quick visit to MOTAT

Auckland's Museum of Transport and Technology (MOTAT) located west of the city's central business district was open in 1964 and has been a centre of learning for generations of visitors keen to understand the development of transport and technology. 

The visit by a mate from out of town provided the ideal opportunity to visit the modern, fresh Aviation Exhibit located away from the main MOTAT area. 

It is quite the spectacle to see the massive Sunderland flying boat in the "hangar" and it will soon be joined by a Solent flying boat under restoration behind the main hangar.
