RCAF Contingent

The recent Royal New Zealand Air Force Air Tattoo at Ohakea attracted visitors from far and wide and it was pleasing to see the Royal Canadian Air Force dispatch one of their Lockheed CC130J Hercules to participate in the celebrations.

130601 arrived Whenuapai 23 February from Nadi as CFC2561 and conducted a local flight on the 24th. On 25 and 26 February the aircraft flew from Whenuapai to Ohakea and back with the first day using its Canforce callsign while the second day it used "Ghost 77". The CC130J conducted navigation exercise/s 28 February as "Ghost 1" prior to departing Whenuapai early evening destined for Avalon.
