Bristol Freighter NZ5911/ZK-EPG Update

Ardmore's Bristol 170 Freighter Mk 31 NZ5911/ZK-EPG is nearing the end of its time in New Zealand with the old girl moved from her most recent resting spot to an area closer to the main road on the airfield allowing easier access. The Royal New Zealand Air Force in conjunction with Pionair have the enviable task of dismantling the 63 year old airframe before she is shipped back to her country of origin, the UK.

While not 100% sure, it would seem ZK-EPG last flew on 31 August 1978 when she ferried from Whenuapai to Ardmore....
