Cessna Citation Mustang ZK-VXM

A recent transaction on the NZ aircraft registered recorded Cessna Citation Mustang ZK-JAK surrendering its markings so that they could be applied to the operator's Learjet 60XR M-IGHT and in turn the Mustang became ZK-VXM. 

This Mustang was delivered to NZ in January 2015 as VH-SQJ and registered ZK-JAK on 03 February of that year. It is based in Rotorua and was registered to JAK Air then to Air Hawkes Bay Ltd before returning to JAK Air and subsequent re-registration to ZK-VXM (which I conclude to loosely signify 510 in Roman numerals - 5, 10, 1000)

The light jet appears to have made its first flight under its new identity around the middle of last month flying from Hastings to Woodbourne then a run to Westport, back to Woodbourne and home to Rotorua. 

Meanwhile, Learjet 60XR ZK-JAK/3 must be at Palmerston North as under its previous guise, M-IGHT, it flew south from Rotorua on the last day of January.

The NZ population of Mustangs remains static at 5 airframes:-
LCA - GESL Aviation Holdings, Hastings
RJZ - Tirohanga Holdings, Wellington
VXM - JAK Air, Rotorua
YDZ - Skyline Aviation, Napier
N890LG - Brookby Quarries, Ardmore

The first ZK-JAK was applied to Quicksilver MXL2 microlight from August 1992 until August 2006.
