Air New Zealand provided a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner for the RNZAF 80th Anniversary Air Tattoo with ZK-NZI arriving before show start on the Sunday morning from Auckland carrying special guests and airline employees. The airliner was then opened to the public for inspection with over 1000 people taking the opportunity to check it out.
The jet was buttoned up for a post airshow departure and launched from runway 27 soon after 1600 heading back to Auckland.
The last Dreamliner to visit Ohakea was ZK-NZE during pre entry to service training flights.
