Cessna 206 VH-UBV

Mission Aviation Fellowship NZ has taken delivery of Cessna U206G
VH-UBV at Ardmore with the refurbished aircraft arriving on the evening of 11 March from Norfolk Island via Kerikeri. The 35 year old airframe has been in service with MAF for a number of years and was retired in 2014 after a career in Cambodia and most recently in Arnhem Land.

The aircraft was revitalised at MAF's Far North Queensland base located at Mareeba from where it departed 09 March for Emerald and Coffs Harbour then onto Lord Howe and Norfolk Island's 10 March.

MAF's NZ board has taken the step to introduce the aircraft to the region to provide a platform for pilot assessment and experience building and will take up the registration ZK-MAF - these marks were used on a Cessna 172M operated by MAF NZ from 1984 until 2000 when it was sold and re-registered ZK-WTD.

VH-UBV is currently being hosted by Christian Aviation at Ardmore and it was greeted Wednesday evening by Rev Richard Waugh who gave the aircraft a blessing. The 206 is expected to feature at the Omaka Airshow this coming Easter weekend before heading back to Auckland to take up its Kiwi registration.
