Yet another first time Australian visitor turned up at Auckland, this time in the shape of Cessna 680 Sovereign VH-PYN. Delivered to Gulf Aircraft PTY of Archerfield on 06 October 2014, the 680 replaced a King Air 350 of the same registration which was re-registered to VH-EYN. The King Air had visited NZ during March 2014 arriving at Queenstown from Sydney on the 24th then heading to Te Anau two days later before heading to Auckland and Brisbane on the 28th.
The Sovereign arrived at Auckland 01 March from Archerfield via Brisbane and is seen below on the occasion of its first visit to Essendon in November last year.
A couple of other VH jets have been about in recent days. Cessna 680 Sovereign VH-EXG spent a few hours at Auckland 28 February arriving from Essendon and departing to Sydney accompanied by Gulfstream G450 VH-MBP which arrived from and returned to Essendon.
Singapore/Seletar based Gulfstream G550 VH-PFL spent a night at Auckland arriving 01 March from Nadi and departing the next morning for its home base. The G550 had arrived at Port Moresby 27 February from Jakarta/Halim and then flew to Honiara and Nadi the next day.
