RAAF Trainers

Royal Australian Air Force Beech 350 Super King Air A32-670 arrived at Ohakea 02 June from Amberley via Norfolk Island and Whenuapai as "Ausy 575". This example is based with 38 Squadron at Townsville and delivered in March 2010 however to the best of our knowledge this is its first visit to NZ.

A32-670 conducted a navigation exercise around the northeastern regions of the North Island 03 June and then a South Island excursion 04 June before heading to Whenuapai for a refuel then onto Norfolk Island for the night.

Meanwhile, Royal Australian Air Force Boeing 737 BBJ A36-002 arrived at Whenuapai after dusk 03 June from Tonga as "Ausy 331" having flown from Canberra to Port Vila the previous day. On the morning of 04 June the BBJ departed for Wellington, Christchurch, Queenstown and then back to Whenuapai.
