Pressed into revenue service just two days after completing its delivery was Fiji Airways Boeing 737-800 DQ-FJN ex D-ABBB. The airliner, configured with 8 business class and 172 economy class seats, arrived at Nadi on the morning of 27 May from Biak having earlier flown from Brussels via Muscat and Subang. Its first flight for the Fijian carrier was as FJ411 from Nadi to Auckland 29 May returning northbound an hour later as FJ410.
The leased aircraft has been named "Ovalau" and its arrival will allow Fiji Airways to increase frequency across its network which will see additional flights between Nadi and Christchurch and the commencement of twice weekly year round operation from Nadi to Wellington from 25 June.

Boeing 737-700 DQ-FJF
Boeing 737-800 DQ-FJG, DQ-FJH, DQ-FJM, DQ-FJN
Airbus A330-200 DQ-FJT, DQ-FJU, DQ-FJV
In January the airline announced it was planning to take delivery of a single Airbus A330-300 by years end.
