Jetconnect introduces fourth Boeing 737-800

Jetconnect, the NZ arm of Qantas, continues to introduce Next Generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft to replace the ageing fleet of 737-400's and today, 8 February, saw ZK-ZQD (Sir Edmund Hillary) enter commercial service as QFA25 from Melbourne to Auckland.  It then positioned to Wellington as QFA6621 before flying to Sydney the following morning as QFA118.

ZK-ZQD had visited Auckland briefly on the night of 03 February when it arrived from Honolulu and Nadi before continuing to Melbourne for fleet induction work.

The airline is expecting two more 737-800's in the very near future, ZK-ZQE (William Pickering) and ZK-ZQF (Abel Tasman).
