The drought of visiting business jets across New Zealand has finally broken and we've already covered off a number of the visitors that have been here and there, including the widebody corporate Boeing 767-200 N2767 which arrived at Auckland 13 October.
Another arrival into Auckland 13 October was The Gandel Group's Global Express VH-TGG from Sydney. It is a fairly regular visitor to our shores making two visits as recently as last month. This morning it departed for Christchurch.
In the Gulfstream ranks, the two Revesco machines departed Auckland overnight carrying boy band "One Direction". Gulfstream 4 VH-WXK departed shortly before midnight for Melbourne, then flew onto Brisbane and Hamilton Island, while Gulfstream 4 VH-TXS departed about an hour later and flew to Melbourne.
A first time visitor then turned up at Auckland just before 0800 in the shape of Gulfstream 450 N800AL registered to Abbot Laboratories. It made its way across the Pacific during the night originating at Oxnard, an airport in Ventura County up the coast for Los Angeles. It made techstops at Honolulu and Nadi on its way to Auckland.
