Jets at Omaka
Ardmore based Strikemaster ZK-STR and Ohakea based DH Venom ZK-VNM were based out of Woodbourne with its long, sealed runway a more attractive proposition to the short, grass strip at Omaka.
The Royal New Zealand Air Force flew Boeing 757-200 NZ7572 down from Whenuapai each day to conduct its display routine.
And ex Royal New Zealand Air Force Skyhawk NZ6216 is a static feature with the Omaka Aviation Heritage museum.
