US Secretary of States Arrives

As the hype of the United States Presidential election bubbled away, United States Secretary of State Mr John Kerry and entourage arrived at Christchurch from Hickam on the afternoon of 09 November on board US Air Force Boeing C32B 98-0002 as SAM807.

Thanks to media reports, the Secretary of State is heading to Antarctica for the next couple of days so is certainly distancing himself from the Presidential hype!



At the conclusion of his visit to Antarctica, Mr Kerry is headed for Wellington late Saturday and from there is headed to Oman. 

The last visit to New Zealand by 98-0002 was during winter this year when it visited Australasia in company with 98-0001 carrying United States Vice President Joe Biden.  

The trackers had some issues around the Hawkes Bay area, or did the team on board receive US election news?!!
