Classic Airliner

The 3rd Level New Zealand blog has covered the introduction of the Douglas DC3 ZK-AWP to scheduled airservices between Auckland and Whakatane operated by Air Chathams

Shortly after the trip report was made the DC3 underwent a subtle change to her titles with the airline's name in block letters replaced with a classic stylish hand-written look.

I was delighted to catch ZK-AWP arriving at Auckland from Whakatane on the afternoon of 29 November as CV805 and soon after being towed from domestic gate 48, where it mingled with the Air New Zealand Link and Great Barrier island commuters, down to the operators hangar at the eastern end of the airport.
