Next batch of Texan's enroute

The Royal New Zealand Air Force's next delivery of Beechcraft T6C Texan II's have commenced their long journey to Down Under. NZ1408, wearing the registration N2763B and callsign "Classic 176" along with NZ1409, registered N2770B and callsign "Classic 130" departed from Beechcraft (KBEC) on 30 January local date for Des Moines, Iowa then to Ottawa, Canada. The have since made their way from Ottawa to Iqaluit and overnighted at Sondre Stromfjord where it is a balmy -22C!! The crew will be looking forward to pushing on from this location and heading southeast through the UK and Europe to the warmer weather.

Based on previous deliveries we can expect the duo to arrive into Ohakea during the third week of February.

NZ1406 makes the types first public appearance at Wings over Wairarapa January 2015.
