Following hot on the heels of Eagle Air's final Metroliner service, Air Nelson flew its final Metroliner flight the next day on 10 November 2002:
Air NZ Link/Air Nelson Fairchild SA227AC ZK-NSZ (AC-712) carried out the final Metroliner service for Air Nelson and for the Air NZ Link group covering the following flights:-
NZ8162 Nelson-Wellington, NZ8181 Wellington-Nelson, NZ8182 Nelson-Wellington, NZ8163 Wellington-Nelson, NZ8515 Nelson-Christchurch, NZ8609 Christchurch-Nelson, NZ8154 Nelson-Wellington and finally NZ8537 Wellington-Nelson. Just a typical day for the mighty "Pencil".....
ZK-NSZ had entered service with Air Nelson as PG218 from Nelson to Wellington on 22 May 1990 and after its retirement was bought NZ Aircraft Specialists and was ultimately broken up.
