Tasman Express Airlines Boeing 727 freighter VH-DHE flew from Auckland to Melbourne and Perth during the course of the day. Has it visited WA before?

Air Nelson took delivery of their 23rd, and final, Bombardier Q300 today when C-FWGQ touched down at Nelson mid afternoon at the conclusion of its ferry flight from Toronto via Grand Rapids, Concord, Honolulu, Pago Pago and Auckland. This aircraft, serial number 672, will take up ZK-NFI/2 in due course. It is almost 4 years since the first Air Nelson Q300, ZK-NEA, arrived in the country. It flew into Nelson from 28Jul05 from Coolangatta via Lord Howe Island and Auckland follow its epic delivery flight from Canada via Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Tasman Express Boeing 727 freighter VH-DHE returned to Auckland this evening from Perth, this time operating via Brisbane.

As part of the revised Qantas Trans Tasman schedules, which has seen a significant reduction in wide body aircraft, the airline have wet leased a Boeing 767-200 freighter from Florida based Air Transport International to assist with the movement of cargo in this part of the world. N761CX made its first visit to Auckland during the early hours of this morning arriving from Sydney as ATN7523 having flown a planned non ETOPS route as part of CASA requirements. This saw the aircraft fly via the route : JORDY-NATLI-TESAT-TEKEP-IGLET-SALAG (for those with enroute charts!). It then flew to Christchurch and onwards to Sydney as ATN7524 on yet another non ETOPS route. From Wednesday it is expected the flights will use QFA callsign's. The regular QFA7623/7624 routines have been suspended with the introduction of the four day a week service.
Pity we're unlikely to see this in daylight this side of the Tasman thanks to its scheduled ETA Auckland of 0310 and ETD 0410, then ETA Christchurch 0530 and out at 0700!
