Lockheed C5 Galaxy visits Christchurch

Supporting the United States Antarctic programme based in Chrsitchurch is a massive operation, and its scale can be judged in no better way than with the arrival of the largest aircraft in the USAF airlift capability, the Lockheed C5 Galaxy.
C5A Galaxy 68-0224 of the 105 Airlift Wing, New York Air National Guard, arrived at Christchurch in the early evening of 16Oct from Hickam AFB, Hawaii. http://www-105aw.ang.af.mil/mission.htm
