Chopper returns

Garden City Helicopters were contracted during mid March to provide assistance in the recovery efforts around the islands of Vanuatu post the devastation brought upon the region by tropical cyclone "Pam". BK117 ZK-HGU and AS350 Squirrel ZK-HUG departed Christchurch on the 19th for Wanganui, Hamilton and Kerikeri from where they flew onto Norfolk Island and Noumea the next day and ultimately arrived at Port Vila on the 21st. 
The two helicopters worked alongside sister company Vanuatu Helicopters Robinson R66 YJ-VHL plus Helicopter Support Honiara's AS350 Squirrel ZK-HNL. 

BK117 ZK-HGU has returned to NZ having flown from Noumea to Norfolk Island 27 April and to Kerikeri and Ardmore 28 April where it seen in the photos below a week later at the Airwork maintenance facility.
