First Day of Winter

Spectacular weather greeted much of New Zealand for the first day of winter and the clear skies and moderate temperatures were greatly appreciated by the crowds gathered at Auckland's Ardmore airport to watch the NZ Warbirds 70th Anniversary of D-Day open day and informal airshow.  

We'll post a few photos over the coming days, here are just a couple to get the ball rolling.  The low sun angle and runway orientation made for challenging conditions!




It wasn't until going through today's photos that I realised the registration has moved from on the fuselage onto the tail.
