Foreign Flyables in NZ - Part One

New Zealand is home to a number of foreign registered airworthy aircraft that for one reason or another have not made it to the ZK register.


The following is a record of those I know about, are there any others? Please note, I'm only mentioning airworthy examples.

Piper PA30 N2V arrived at Ardmore in early June this year and is still resident.

Beech Duke N60TE spends most of its time at Dunedin, however it is seen here at its second home of Ardmore in March 2009.

Business Jets/Sleephead Beds Falcon 900EX N146EX is an Auckland resident. It is seen here at Christchurch November 2007.

Beech 58 Baron N146WA lives at North Shore and has done since July 2008. It is pictured here at Ardmore in February 2009. It is currently in Australia where it has spent the last couple of winters on vacation.

Around the World traveller Piper PA31T Cheyenne N178SG is currently resident at Ardmore having arrived there in in January of this year. The owner intends to continue his journey over time back to his home country of France.

Beech 58 Baron N254F arrived at Auckland on delivery in late October 2009. It seems to have spent time at Hamilton registered to Kiwi Lion LLC however it is now hangered at Ardmore where it is pictured in March 2010.

Cessna 172S N510LP is registered to Southern Cross Aviation of La Paz, Arizona but has been noted several times at Ardmore where again it is pictured on 27 January 2010.

Avions Mudry CAP10B N780S is registered to a Timaru owner and was first made known to the author when it visited Hokitika in November 2008 where it is pictured.
