It is exactly 6 years since the last Czech Air Force machine visited NZ:
Arriving 06 Feb 2004 from Sydney was Czech Air Force Tupolev TU154M 1003 (1003). This particular aircraft was built as recently as 1995 however its interior was very much from the ‘70s period. It carried a Czech delegation led by His Excellency Ambassador Josef Sladek who visited Puhoi (north of Auckland) and travelled by chartered Air National Dash 8 to Wellington and return. Departed Auckland for Brisbane and Darwin 09Feb as “CEF05A”
