Global Express N933EY left Auckland just prior to 0400 for Melbourne where it then spent the day before leaving for Singapore.

Global Express VH-VGX flew Essendon-Auckland-Tauranga-Auckland-Essendon today.

RAAF King Air 350's A32-437 and A32-651 arrived at Whenuapai from Brisbane and Norfolk Island.

Gulfstream 550 ZK-KFB/2 was placed on the NZ register today with Execujet New Zealand of Wellington indicating its delivery down under is getting ever closer.

Citationjet CJ3 VH-ANE arrived at Queenstown from Sydney.

Gulfstream 550 N1759C departed Auckland for Honolulu and Teterboro.

Tri Marine Logistics Challenger 300 N818RC arrived at Auckland after dark from Port Vila.

Saudi Ministry of Finance Boeing 737-BBJ HZ-MF2 arrived at Auckland just after 2000 from Canberra.

Citation 501 ZK-NBR was noted in the Air National hanger, this being ex N800DT.

The two RAAF King Air 350's A32-437 and A32-651 flew Woodbourne-Christchurch with the latter heading onwards to Whenuapai while -437 remained at Christchurch overnight.

Cathay Pacific Cargo Boeing 747-400 freighter B-HUL spent a couple of hours on the ground at Auckland, arriving from Melbourne and departing to Hong Kong.

Acernus Citation Mustang ZK-MOT, currently advertised for sale, was noted flying from Maroochydore to Bankstown this morning.

There has been a distinct decline of interesting movements to report on, hence the lack of posts in recent times! However its great to see plenty of activity on other NZ based blogs, namely http://3rdlevelnz.blogspot.com/ which is providing some fantastic insights to third level airline activity in NZ over years with some brilliant photos of 'old' airliners. Gulfstream 4 N810TM departed from Auckland today heading to Honiara then onwards to Guam.

RAAF C130 Hercules A97-011 flew from Whenuapai to Norfolk Island and Richmond concluding its visit to NZ.

Uzbekistan Boeing 767-300 VP-BUE departed Christchurch early afternoon for KL as UZB3512.

Virgin Blue Boeing 737-800 VH-VOU arrived at Auckland today from Melbourne for maintenance with Air NZ. This is the first known Virgin Blue aircraft to visit the Auckland maintenance facility.

Gulfstream 4 N810TM made a brief visit to Wellington, arriving from and heading back to Auckland.
Acernus took delivery of their brand new Citation Mustang ZK-MUS/2 when it arrived at Wellington from Maroochydore and Lord Howe Island. This aircraft replaces ZK-MUS/1 which was re-registered ZK-MOT and is currently located at Maroochydore.
Falcon 900EX P2-ANW departed Auckland for Cairns.
Hawaiian's Boeing 767-300 N586HA departed Auckland for Honolulu as HAL8452.

Vincent Aviation's Jetstream 31 ZK-JSH made a tech stop at Auckland on its way from Wellington to Norfolk Island. The following day it flew to Nadi and Tonga as AIRCORP 01.

Learjet 36 VH-JCX was a visitor to Wellington during the early hours, arriving from and heading back to Melbourne.
Cessna 182 ZK-SKL departed Kerikeri for Norfolk Island and continued to Archerfield via Lord Howe Island and Brisbane the following day before being cancelled from the NZ register 30Apr as being exported.
USAF Gulfstream 5 99-0402 touched down at Wellington from Canberra as SAM6806.

USAF Gulfstream 5 99-0402 departed Wellington just on sunset for Kwajelein.
RAAF C130 Hercules A97-011 visited Christchurch today.

Gulfstream 4SP ZK-KFB departed Auckland at 1413 today for Papeete and Los Angeles, possibly on its export flight. ZK-KFB is to be replaced by a G550, N960GA which has been noted at Long Beach marked as ZK-KFB.
Qantas flew their final wide body passenger service through Christchurch this afternoon when Boeing 767-300 VH-OGM flew as QFA45/46 from/to Sydney. From 01May, all Qantas services through Christchurch will be operated by 737-800 aircraft complemented with Jetstar Airbus A320 services.
Uzbekistan Airways Boeing 767-300 VP-BUE arrived at Christchurch from Tashkent and Kuala Lumpur as UZB3511.

Pel Air Westwind VH-KNR made a brief visit to Hamilton this morning, arriving from and returning to Sydney.

Acernus of Wellington's brand new Citation 510 Mustang ZK-MUS/2 (c/n 510-0300) arrived at Maroochydore today from Broome via Alice Springs as it nears the end of its delivery flight.

Atlas Air Boeing 747-400 freighter N409MC, operating on behalf of Qantas, flew from Sydney to Auckland then out to Avalon carrying V8 cars.

Global 5000 N939ML arrived at Auckland from Suva.

Global 5000 N939ML departed Auckland heading back to Suva.

Atlas Air Boeing 747-400 freighter N409MC returned to Auckland empty from Avalon and departing with another load of V8's for Brisbane.

Papua New Guinea Falcon 900EX P2-ANW made its first visit to NZ since its delivery to Port Moresby back in November last year arriving at Auckland from Brisbane where it had arrived the previous day from its home port.

MASkargo Boeing 747-400 freighter 9M-MPS arrived at Auckland from Sydney and Avalon.

Royal Australian Air Force King Air 350's A32-350 and A32-372 arrived at Christchurch internationally and were noted around NZ over the coming days on navigational exercises.

Beechjet 400 VH-IPG arrived at Tauranga from Auckland while Citation Sovereign ZK-JTH was a visitor to Gisborne, arriving from and heading back to Auckland.

Gulfstream 5 XA-MPS departed Auckland for Queenstown.

Gulfstream 5 N677F left Christchurch for Pago Pago.

Vans RV7 VH-ZIC launched from Kerikeri destined for Norfolk Island. This was the 4th VH registered aircraft that had participated in the NZ Air Safari.

Douglas DC10 N974VV of Omega Tankers departed Ohakea for Williamtown in company with the 5 RAAF F/A-18 Hornets that had been in the country for exercises and participation at the Warbirds over Wanaka airshow. The DC10 later continued to Cairns where it overnighted and departed for Hickam the following morning.

Boeing 737-200 VP-CBA has been moved on the SkyCare ramp and now displays its lack of windows on the right hand side. It departed Auckland late 03Apr for Port Moresby.



Kirra Holdings Global Express N889CP made a techstop at Auckland 03Apr on its way from Sydney to Buenos Aires.

Gulfstream 5's continued to dominate with N371JC arriving at Christchurch around lunchtime from Napier while the National Science Foundation GV N677F arrived just on 1600 from Pago Pago. N132SD departed Auckland for Honolulu as "Excelaire 132" just before 1800.
Gulfstream 4 N810TM departed from Queenstown mid morning for Nadi and Pilatus PC12 VH-OOI flew from Kerikeri to Norfolk Island.
RAAF King Air 350 A32-372 arrived at Wanaka early afternoon from Christchurch as ASY406.

More Hornets

Today's visit to Christchurch by the RAAF Hornets currently stationed at Ohakea included two seat version A21-107 along with A21-3, A21-12 and A21-35.
A21-107 departed Christchurch for Wanaka and return carrying All Black Captain Ritchie McCaw and using the callsign "RITCHIE06".
Bargeld01 was yet again on hand to capture these fab shots.

Visitors


RAAF King Air 350 A32-372 arrived at Christchurch 01Apr as AUSY406. This aircraft was in NZ last month also.


Citation VII VH-DHN, registered to Professional Jet, departed Wellington for Essendon 02Apr. It had arrived at Hamilton from Hobart 30Mar and flew to Wellington the following day.

Challenger 604 VP-CCE departed Auckland for Melbourne 01Apr having arrived 30Mar from Hong Kong via Port Moresby.

Gulfstream 5's N132SD and N50KC remain static at Auckland, Gulfstream 4 N810TM at Queenstown and Falcon 2000EX VH-CRW at Napier.

Pilatus PC12 VH-OOI departed Ardmore 02Apr for Kerikeri. It arrived at Auckland from Norfolk Island 31Mar.

Sky Aviation's corporately configured Boeing 737-200ADV VP-CBA "Aurea" arrived at Auckland from Tokyo's Narita Airport via a techstop at Port Moresby 31Mar.
The aircraft carried out a circuit at Auckland on the afternoon of 01Apr.

More Hornets!

Five Royal Australian Air Force F/A 18 Hornets arrived at Ohakea 30Mar from RAAF Williamtown via an overflight of Central Otago in company with Omega DC10 tanker N974VV. The tanker later departed for Amberley while A21-3, A21-12, A21-20, A21-35 and A21-107 are to remain in NZ for the next two weeks.

Bargeld01 was on hand at Christchurch to photograph the arrival of A21-3, -12, -20 and -35 01Apr from Ohakea via a mock airfield attack at Wanaka prior to this coming weekend's airshow. All four later departed as COBRA21 for another Wanaka sortie before returning to Ohakea.

Herd of Rhinos - Repost

A glitch saw the original blog go AWOL, therefore.....

The most exotic collection of aircraft to visit New Zealand in a long time took place 23Mar with the arrival at Auckland from Pago Pago of 5 newly delivered Boeing F18F Super Hornet’s (Rhinos) on their delivery flight to the Royal Australian Air Force as part of the defence force’s retirement plan of the General Dynamic F111’s later this year. A44-202, 203, 204, 205 and 206 arrived in numerical order and were closely followed by Omega Tanker Douglas DC10-40 N974VV and in turn RAAF Boeing C17 Globemaster A41-206. All aircraft originated at NAS Lemoore, California with stops at Hickam and Pago Pago for crew rest. The aircraft departed for Amberley 26Mar.













More Gulfstreams!


Registered to Execujet Australia and operated out of a SE Asia location, Gulfstream 5 N371JC made a whistle-stop visit to Auckland 29Mar having arrived from Singapore's Seletar Airport and departed for Kaitaia.
3M Gulfstream 5 N73M arrived at Auckland on the afternoon of 29Mar from Maui joining Gulfstream 5's N50KC and N132LD parked at Auckland.

Land of the Rising Sun!


Sheryl Handley was on location at Tauranga prior to its departure.
A6M “Zeke’ N712Z departed from Tauranga for Woodbourne and Wanaka 27Mar having arrived at the Port of Tauranga from Long Beach, California via Port Chalmers the previous weekend The aircraft is in NZ for the Warbirds over Wanaka airshow. It flew south accompanied by Kiwi Air’s PAC 750XL ZK-XLE.
A6M2-21 c/n 3869, recovered from Babo airfield, Irian Jaya, Indonesia in 1991, P&W R-1830 motor. Restored to airworthy in Russia as an A6M3-22, flying as N6582L, later N712Z since 28 April 1998, code X-133 Registered to Liberty Aero, Santa Monica, operated by Southern CA Wing CAF and flying from their base at Camarillo.

As mentioned in mainstreak media, the 5 RAAF F/A 18F Super Hornets departed Auckland for RAAF Amberley on Friday 26Mar in company with DC10 N974VV and a RAAF C17.
Wayne Grant was on hand to capture their departure from Auckland's runway 23L.

Gulfstream 4 N810TM arrived at Christchurch from Hobart 20Mar and has been in Australia since 10Feb when it arrived at Brisbane from Nadi.


Gulfstream 4 N404AC arrived at Queenstown 21Mar from Melbourne via Christchurch.


Gulfstream 4 N345AA arrived at Queenstown from Sydney 20Mar and flew to Napier 25Mar.


Gulfstream 5 N132SD arrived at Auckland from Honolulu 25Mar.
In addition to those pictured, Gulfstream 550 B-KID arrived Auckland from Hong Kong 22Mar while Gulfstream 5 N50KC arrived at Napier from Los Angeles 21Mar and has since visited Gisborne, Auckland and Kaitaia.

The 11th Balloons over Waikato launched today with foggy skies and no actual flying taking part.

Some 18 balloons were on location at Innes Common this morning including the special shapes as shown below.
